  1. If you re-installed the BDEICT software (i.e. you have had existing BDEICT installation on the computer, make sure that you clear the web browser cache before using the new installation).

There are separate steps for Windows and Linux systems below, make sure to download the appropriate installer based on your operating system.

  1. Download the Blancco Drive Eraser Image Configuration Tool software.
  2. Run the downloaded executable and follow on screen instructions to continue with the installation of the Configuration Tool.
  3. Start the Configuration Tool using the created desktop shortcut (or by clicking the dect.exe executable available under the installation directory).
  4. Click "Load" and select the ISO image file you want to configure.
  5. Change the configuration settings and save the image by clicking "Save as".
  6. Read the user manual for more details.
  7. Watch the instructional video for BDEICT.

  1. Download the Blancco Drive Eraser Image Configuration Tool software.
  2. Navigate to the downloaded file and if missing add execution permissions to the downloaded appimage file.
  3. Run the downloaded appimage file ./blancco-dect-linux.appimage.
  4. Drive Eraser Configuration Tool should open into a new window.
  5. Click "Load" and select the ISO image file you want to configure.
  6. Change the configuration settings and save the image by clicking "Save as".
