Blancco WinEraser 10.12.2 has been released!
🧠 Why This Matters (Quick Take)
Network connectivity: BWE must connect to the network for multiple reasons, licensing, report, workflow. Lack of connectivity usually means inability to process a machine. In this sense, this fix release is very important.
🔧 Stability & Fixes
Ticket ID | Category | Improvement | Impact |
WD-1279, WD-1281, WD-1284, WD-1288 | Connectivity / Networking | WinEraser booted successfully but had no network interface. This was due to a Windows update that broke the WinRE image, causing network drivers to fail to bind. | Important fix for all users: without network, BWE cannot consume licenses or send a report |
WD-1260, WD-1280 | Workflow | IBR (workflow) conditions failed when using the wrong case: lowercase "or", using a different case for "IsValid". This was due to the workflow editor's parsing being case-sensitive; fixed to accept operators in any case. | Improves the workflows creation and maintenance. |
WD-1277 | Reporting | Erasure report start/end times were incorrect, causing ServiceNow imports to miss ~25% of reports — fixed by adding a configurable UTC offset applied to timestamps in the XML report. | Important fix for customers using BWE through a ServiceNow integration. |
WD-1125 | UI/UX | The "Press any key to boot..." UEFI screen was sometimes missed by the user, which caused failed/delayed boots — that screen is now skipped automatically. | Usability and automation fix. |
