The Blancco WinEraser issue report is a comprehensive document containing supplementary system information and log files. This report is instrumental for diagnosing and replicating issues encountered with Blancco WinEraser. The issue report file is encrypted to ensure confidentiality and can only be accessed by authorized Blancco personnel. By default, the issue report file is named using the following format: "YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS_issue_report.ir.xml".

When reaching out to Technical Support, it is essential to include the Blancco WinEraser issue report within the support ticket. It is advisable to compress the issue report file into a zip archive before attaching it to facilitate efficient transmission and handling.

To collect the issue report:

  1. Connect a USB memory stick to the computer

  2. Click Support

  3. Click the “Create Issue Report” button

  4. Enter a description of the issue you are encountering in the text field provided

  5. Use the Select media dropdown to select the USB memory stick you connected

  6. Update the Report name if required

  7. Click the “Save” button to store the report on the USB or “Send” to store it in the Management Portal.
