Problem
Blancco File Erasure does not erase the entire disk/disk partition when using the "Free Disk Space" option.
Clarity on “Free Disk Space” Functinality
Blancco File Erasure only erases files and folders, not the entire disk or disk partition. The “Free Disk Space” option overwrites only the unused space on the selected drive partition. It does not erase used space, so it cannot empty a disk.
For Example, If a disk is 80% full, the free disk space erasure will overwrite the remaining 20% of unused space using the selected erasure algorithm. This feature is useful if files were deleted without Blancco File Eraser; instead of being removed, they remain unindexed on the disk.
