Make sure there is no traffic being blocked to blancco.cloud domain or its sub-domains when running the installation/upgrade.

Internet connection between the on-premise installation and the Blancco Management Portal is required. Traffic to below endpoints needs to be allowed:

Note that in certain scenarios user might be presented with “Registration code is not valid” error even when the problem occurs due to firewall or other security features interfering with the traffic.

Other security features preventing the connection

The network may include additional layers of security applications/features. If this is the case, make sure that required steps are taken to allow the connection between the on-premise installation and the Blancco Management Portal.

SSL Inspection

In case you are inspecting the encrypted SSL communication between the client and the server as using SSL inspection or other similar security feature, make sure the required certificates are imported into the Java keystore in order for the BMP - On-premise installer and service to be correctly trusted.

Required certificate(s) can be imported using the keytool utility:

keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias alias -file C:\temp\yourCertificate.cer -keystore keystorename

Follow Oracle’s and/or your vendor’s documentation for more detailed steps to make sure the required certificates are correctly imported.

Note that in certain scenarios user might be presented with “Registration code is not valid” error even when the problem occurs due to firewall or other security features interfering with the traffic.

Registration code is not valid

If incorrect or invalid registration code is provided, user will be presented with a “Registration code is not valid” error.

Registration codes are valid for 24 hours and new code needs to be generated after this time.
